Can drinking hot water shrink fibroids

Fibroids are a common condition among women of childbearing age and can cause a variety of symptoms like heavy menstrual flow, cramps and pain. While drinking hot water often is thought to be beneficial for one’s overall health, unfortunately there isn’t any scientific evidence that drinking hot water will shrink fibroids. I have them! So I would know.

However, there are other steps that can be taken to help ease symptoms.

These include:

• Exercising regularly to help reduce stress levels: Exercise has been shown to reduce stress which can in turn help alleviate some of the symptoms associated with fibroids. Regular exercise also helps maintain a healthy weight which can help reduce the size of fibroids.

  • Doing castor oil packs: Castor oil helps to reduce inflammation and can be used to improve uterine health.

Additionally, there are several medical treatments that can be used for fibroids such as:

Hormone therapy is a common treatment used to reduce symptoms associated with fibroids by blocking the hormones necessary for their growth. This includes oral contraceptives and drugs such as GnRH agonists which work by inhibiting estrogen production which can cause fibroid tumors to decrease in size over time. Surgery is another option although it should only be considered when alternative therapies have been unsuccessful or if the fibroid tumors are particularly large and causing severe symptoms.

In addition to medical treatments, making certain lifestyle modifications could also support the reduction of fibroid tumors. Eating a well balanced diet full of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains may help keep hormones in balance while also providing your body with essential nutrients it needs for optimal health . Exercise regularly – aim for at least 30 minutes daily – which can help lower levels of stress hormones which can contribute to fibroid growth . And try relaxing techniques like yoga or meditation which can further promote relaxation allowing your body to naturally heal itself .

Although drinking hot water won’t shrink fibroids directly , making simple dietary habit adjustments and incorporating regular exercise into your routine could all improve your symptoms overall.

What is important is that you speak to you doctor to present your symptoms and find an appropriate treatment plan that fits your needs.
